Fundraising

Overview

Our fundraising efforts this year will be a little more diverse than in recent years. We expect this approach will allow us to raise similar funds with less time and effort required.  For our Fall effort, our goal is to raise $3000. 

1. Picnic with Pops Parking ($650)

2. Battlefield Concessions ($1000)

3. Popcorn ($3,500 of product ~ $1,150 profit)

4. Keeneland Fall Meet Parking ($1,000)

5. Roadside cleanup  (Spring, $800-$1000)

6. Keeneland Spring Meet Parking (Spring, $1000)

Schedule

• 13 Sep - Popcorn sales at Sam’s Club in Lexington from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (2 scouts, 2 adults for each 3 hour shift) 

• 29 Sep - All popcorn sale orders in.

• 12 Oct - Keeneland Fall Meet Parking 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (10 spots, youth and adults)

• 25 Oct - Keeneland Fall Meet Parking 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (10 spots, youth and adults)

We  will have a busy fall schedule. With this in mind, we would like each scout and one of their parents to participate in one shift of popcorn, one shift of parking, and 4-5 hours of roadside cleanup. We hope that having this many opportunities scheduled this far in advance will make it easier to manage all the demands on your families' time.

Note: If we are unable to meet our popcorn sales goals by the end of September, we may schedule additional sales to offload our stock.

Popcorn

Our popcorn sale will be managed using the Trails End app. Please download the app and register your scout. (If you registered last year, you may use the same account. Contact Chelsea Trent if you need help getting into your account). 

We will keep paper signups for shifts at the meeting, but preference will be given to scouts signing up via the app.
